Closes in a few hours – you in? (+ why I’m not covering up anymore)

Published: Fri, 01/27/17

Real quick , I’m currently at a business conference. And in addition to wearing a lanyard, I’m also wearing a short dress with a halter cut.
Too short? Too sexy? Not professional enough?

Maybe. But it’s also a perfect representation of my mantra for 2017, which is authenticity. It’s a perfect representation of who I am in my personal life, my business and in my relationships: strong, feminine and unapologetic wearing these effing muscles in plain view, whether you like it or not.

And believe it or not, this is a big step considering I actually wore blazers at every conference I went to from 2012 to early 2016. Jen Sinkler used to even refer to me as #BlazerStatus—literally (and I guess figuratively, too, lol).

Kind of an embarrassing confession, but I think in a sense, I felt like I wouldn’t have been taken seriously if I allowed my level of fitness to be seen. Maybe I was scared people would see it as too much? Maybe I’d be labeled as a dumb jock or meathead? I don’t know.

But over the last year things have changed.

More ownership. No more apologies. No more covering up. No more anxiety over being the only person in the room with muscles. No more stress over not exactly fitting in. More pivoting, less placating. More color, less black-and-white.

Now I wear my hard work like a badge of honor, proof of who I am as a person. A clear show of my values and, ahem, even my business. It’s what I’m kind of sort of good at. Like Jen Sinkler said, “muscles as accessories.” It’s true.

And I hope you, too, are wearing yours as proof of your work ethic, your determination and being an example to other woman that there is never EVER a need to apologize for the way you look, regardless.

Own that shit.

Let your physique be a service.

Please and thank you.

Ok, last reminder about the muscle-building program, #BignessProject closing tonight. At midnight it goes away, as does the exclusive #JillFit bonus, enrollment into the 4-Week Food Obsession Boot Camp course.

If you have been waiting to jump into #Bigness, this is your last opportunity to join the ranks of the unapologetically muscular.

Let me know if you have any last minute questions! You’ll get access into the 4-Week Food Obsession Boot Camp tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon via email.

Xo,
Jill
