Last weekend, I blogged about my trip to Europe and how differently people overseas eat and exercise compared to Americans. Besides being so drastically different, Europeans tended to be slimmer and also less obsessed with food. And yet much of how they ate flew in the face of what we think we know about nutrition--bread at every meal, late dinners, 3 large square meals a day, drink wine daily, etc. 
 
Huh? 
 
What's going on here? I have to think the discrepancy has to do with stress and lifestyle factors, not necessarily food choices. The European lifestyle is slower in general, and they tend to take time with family and friends, and there isn't the crazy urgency of productivity we seem to have in the states. Can stress have that much of an impact on results? I think so.
